Cameroon-Brazil Cable System ( CBCS for short ) is a 5,900 km long submarine cable that connects South America and Africa . It is scheduled to go into operation in 2017.

The cable runs from Brazil through the southern Atlantic Ocean to Cameroon and thus connects South America with Africa. With the South Atlantic Express and the South Atlantic Cable System , two more submarine cables will go into operation in 2017, connecting South America with Africa.
