Zdzisław Józef Kijas

Zdzisław Józef Kijas OFMConv (born February 18, 1960 in Pewel Ślemieńska ) is a Polish priest , professor of theology, dean of the theological faculty of the Seraphicum in Rome and professor of the faculty of theology at the Pontifical University of John Paul II.

Life

John Paul II ordained him a priest in 1986. In 1990 he received his doctorate in dogmatics and religious studies from the Catholic University of Louvain-La-Neuve and completed his habilitation six years later. After his habilitation (1996–1997) he began his studies at the St. Bonaventura University and received a Master of Arts in the humanities. Benedict XVI. Appointed him appointed Relator of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints on January 28, 2010 . He was a member of the International Committee established by the Pope in 2010 to investigate the Medjugorje apparitions .
