The Carl Hugo colliery is a former hard coal mine in Essen -Dilldorf-Hamm. The colliery arose from a renaming of the Reher Markmannsbank colliery .
Reher Markmannsbank
The mine was also known as the Zeche Rehe Markmannsbank . On May 27, 1831 took place ceremony of the length field . The mine was in operation in 1848, it was located on the Hellerbach. The first production figures are known from 1869, 3,886 tons of hard coal were produced. The last figures come from the year 1870, with 39 miners 9,366 tons of hard coal were extracted. On December 14, 1870, the name was changed to Zeche Carl Hugo.

In the years 1879 and 1880 the mine was again within deadlines. The mine was in operation again from 1881, the remains of the piers above the bottom of the tunnel were dismantled . In 1882, 16 miners extracted 6,937 tons. From April 1883, the mine was again set in terms of time limits. In 1906 it was consolidated into the Adler colliery .
