The Carl Hugo colliery is a former hard coal mine in Essen -Dilldorf-Hamm. The colliery arose from a renaming of the Reher Markmannsbank colliery .

Reher Markmannsbank

The mine was also known as the Zeche Rehe Markmannsbank . On May 27, 1831 took place ceremony of the length field . The mine was in operation in 1848, it was located on the Hellerbach. The first production figures are known from 1869, 3,886 tons of hard coal were produced. The last figures come from the year 1870, with 39 miners 9,366 tons of hard coal were extracted.
