Mining history

On December 9 of 1776 which took place ceremony of a length field . In 1789 there were already two tunnels and several shafts and the mine was entered in the Niemeyer map series. On July 28, 1792, the Erbstollenrechtlichkeit and another length field were awarded. The mine was probably unoccupied for a while, because it was re-occupied on January 19, 1797. Mining was carried out in the area of the Sebastian shaft (shaft 6) . There is evidence that the mine was in operation in 1800. From January 1814, the mine was set in time limits . On December 31, 1842, the Längenfeld Freedom to the West was awarded, after which the mine went back into operation. Another length field was awarded on January 26 of the following year.

In July 1845 , the authorized persons consolidated freedom to the west, freedom court Stiepel and Maze to freedom with the Piepers Erbstollen. Operations were resumed and dismantling was carried out. The first known production and workforce figures for the newly consolidated mine also come from this year. At that time, 15 miners extracted 2,195 tons of hard coal . There is evidence that the mine was in operation in 1854, 1858 and 1863, but no further information is given for these years. The last mining and workforce figures for the mine come from the year 1855, when 27 miners produced 24,799¼ tons of coal from Prussia . In the years 1866 and 1867, time limits were again worked. In 1895 the mine field of the Zeche Freiheit was taken over by the Zeche Blankenburg .

maze

Very little is reported about the Maze Mine. The mine was supposed to be solved in 1842 by the Piepers Erbstollen . A length field was awarded on December 31 of the same year. In July 1845 the mine consolidated into the Zeche Freiheit.
