The Haberbank colliery in Sprockhövel -Niedersprockhövel is a former hard coal mine . The mine was also known under the names Zeche Haberkamp and Zeche Hawerkamp .
Mining history
On October 7, 1739, a length field west of the Pleßbach in the Hohe Egge area was measured . In 1750 the mine was in operation and tunnel construction was carried out. The Stollenmundloch the tunnel was located near the Uhlenbruch Street, north of the house grinding cotta. There is evidence that the mine was in operation in 1754 and 1755. In 1781 the own deep tunnel was driven south and a seam was excavated . The deep tunnel was also called Spennemanns Erbstollen. The tunnel mouth hole of this tunnel was located in the Auf der Heide area , west of the motorway. In 1783 the mine was still in operation, in 1796 the Haberbank colliery was closed.
As of November 1815, the mine was back in operation, and clearing work was carried out. The following year, the Glücksanfang shaft was mined. The Glücksanfang shaft was equipped with a horse peg as a hoisting machine. In 1820 the Auguste and Glücksanfang pits were in operation and in 1825 the Auguste, Henriette and Glücksanfang pits were in operation. In 1826 it came under the lug sole for union with the bill clamp to United clamp & Haber bank bill . Both mines mined the same seam, although in different wings. In 1828 the Mina shaft was mined. In 1829 the Haberbank colliery was finally closed.
