The Lauseplatte colliery in Dahlhausen is a former hard coal mine . The mine was also known under the names Zeche Lause-Platte , Zeche Luseplatte and Zeche Lauseplatte modo Wippsterz . Despite its more than eighty-year history, little is reported about the mine.

Mining history

The mine was already mentioned in the documents in 1717, but was not in operation until three years later, in 1720. In 1732, a decision was made for mining on the Kassenberg. According to a report by Domainenrathes Francke, overexploitation was carried out in the area of the Lauseplatte colliery in 1737 . In 1739 the mine was back to normal operation. In 1771 the mine consisted of the two wings Wippsterz and Lauseplatte. From around 1800, only the Wippsterz wing is mentioned in the documents .
