The Zeche Tonne is a former hard coal mine in Hattingen- Redenscheid-Niederstüter. The mine was a small mine , the owner of this small mine was initially the Bergbau GmbH.

Mining history

The mine was put into operation on July 20, 1951. The mining of coal was initially in tunnel construction . In the first year, 14 miners extracted a total of 230 tons of hard coal . On August 31 of the following year, the Tonne union took over the mine. The mine was shut down on the same day. Later, the Petrus Segen union took over the mine. In May 1956 the mine in the Klüser quarry was put back into operation. In the same year a shaft was sunk . The shaft was south State Road 51 set . In the following year the mine was in operation, 356 tons of hard coal were extracted with eleven employees. In 1958, coal was initially mined, 14 tons of hard coal were mined. The Tonne colliery was shut down in the same year.
