Line sensor
Line sensors are light- or radiation-sensitive detectors (mostly semiconductor detectors ), which consist of a one-dimensional array of photodetectors or other detector elements.
They differ according to the principle of the sensors and the reading of the data:
- CCD line sensors work like a CCD sensor ( ultraviolet , visible light , near and mid infrared )
- CMOS line sensors work like a CMOS image sensor (ultraviolet, visible light, near infrared)
- analog line sensors deliver an analog data stream, see photodiode line
Line sensors can also be constructed from thermal receiver elements, e.g. B. bolometer arrays or pyroelectric sensors .
Applications
The following are selected from the multitude of possible applications:
- Scanners , flatbed scanners
- Fax machine , barcode reader , spectrometer
- Triangulation , laser distance measurement
- Measurement flights for aerial photo measurement
