Time module
In working studies, a time module is a process element in a schedule time catalog .
application
The calculation of the time required for the necessary work processes is at the beginning of every calculation for a production and a product. Providing data for such calculations is the task of time management ; their determination is called data determination .
In the required time studies , work processes are analyzed according to type of procedure . The times for the sequence types are determined. Typically, the same types of procedures appear again and again in the most varied of work processes. Skilful processing of the database creates a catalog of process types with known times, which can be used as planned times for new calculations and no longer need to be re-measured. The elements of such a catalog are called time modules.
implementation
A systematic time management includes a catalog of planned times and thus the management of time modules.
A systematization of time modules and their standardization and calculability by means of influencing variables is the order of the day in the systems of predetermined times .
The most widespread in practice is the MTM building block system that, in addition to the calculation, is also used as a reference when designing and optimizing work processes.
