Methods for determining times

According to REFA, time determination is the generic term for the methods for determining times for process sections . A distinction is made between “record actual times” and determine target times . Actual times are times actually needed by people to carry out work. Target times, on the other hand, are derived from actual times determined earlier. The aim of determining the time is usually to find a target time in order to use it for calculations or as a standard time .

To Istzeitenerfassung REFA sees a hand measuring methods, such as term study using a time recording device or self-recording or survey before. The systems of predetermined times , planned times , comparisons and estimations as well as calculations are named as methods that draw times from earlier data sources .
