Clinical Research in Cardiology , or Clin. Res. Cardiol. , is a scientific journal published by Springer-Verlag on behalf of the German Society for Cardiology . The magazine was founded in 1909 under the name Zentralblatt für Herzkrankheiten und die Vesselkrankheiten and in 1911 shortened the name to Zentralblatt für Herz- und Vesselkrankheiten . Another cut was made to Journal of Cardiovascular Research in 1927 , in 1973 the name was changed to Journal of Cardiology , and the last change was in 2006 to Clinical Research in Cardiology . The magazine is currently published twelve times a year. Papers are published that address clinical issues in cardiovascular research.

The impact factor in 2014 was 4,560. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks 21st out of 123 journals in the cardiovascular system category.
