The Journal for Political Theory (ZPTh) is a political science journal published by Barbara Budrich . It appears twice a year and is edited by the political scientists André Brodocz , Marcus Llanque and Gary S. Schaal . The contributions go through a peer review .

The main part of each issue is made up of scientific articles on one or more current topics or controversies in political theory . Four to five longer texts are published per issue. The ZfPT prints review essays, interviews and disputes, conference and country reports as well as texts for dealing with key political science terms on pages designated as “service part”.
