The Zeitschrift für Umweltpolitik & Umweltrecht (ZfU) is an international specialist journal on the subject of environmental policy and law.

The ZfU publishes articles and treatises on environmental law issues in German and English. Economic, legal, sociological and ecological questions of environmental quality, environmental policy concepts, their implementation under environmental law and professional exchange all play a role. The authors are mostly scientists and politicians who work in the field.

The ZfU was founded in 1975 a. a. founded by Klaus Töpfer and has been published quarterly since 2002. Reimund Schwarze is responsible for the content . The editorial board consists of Andreas Diekmann , Edeltraud Günther , Katharina Holzinger , Wolfgang Kahl , Eckard Rehbinder , Dirk Rübbelke and Jale Tosun .
