Cellulitis of the leg.

In medical jargon , cellulite means inflammation of the subcutaneous tissue . In the German-speaking area, the term phlegmon is used for this , in contrast to the Anglo-American language area, where cellulite is more commonly used. The term is often mistakenly used for cellulite .

Children in particular are affected by this disease. Usually the face is affected. The inflammation is caused by bacteria and therefore treated causally with an antibiotic . Usually it is

• Haemophilus influenzae
• group A hemolytic streptococci
• Pneumococci .
