Crater lake |
Lake Zengena (Zingini Kibeb Hayk ') is an almost circular crater lake . It is located in the Awi zone of the Amhara region in Ethiopia and, along with Lake Tirba, is one of two crater lakes in Awi. The lake is located between the villages of Injibara and Kessa only 200 m from the main road Addis Ababa - Bahir Dar at 2514 meters above sea level . With a maximum depth of 166 m, the Zengena is the second deepest lake in Ethiopia after the Shala . The diameter of the lake is about 1 km.
