Central active for work standardization

The Central Active Labor Standards (Zafa) was in the GDR in mid 1959 under the guidance of the Committee for Labor and Wages institution formed "to coordinate the basic issues of labor standards", it replaced the Central Committee on technical standards (ZTAN) of the beginning first five-year plan was introduced in 1950.

Members of the active were representatives of the state administration, the trade unions, the chamber of technology , scientific institutes, universities and companies. The ZAfA should also deal with the training of standards workers in the companies and at the VVB .
