The Central Association of the German Poultry Industry (ZDG) represents the interests of the German poultry industry at the federal and EU level vis-à-vis political, official and professional organizations, the public and abroad.
history
The Club of German Poultry Farmers was founded as early as 1896 and was renamed the Association of German Commercial Poultry Breeders in the 1950s . In order to streamline the entire area of the German poultry industry in technical, organizational and financial terms, the constituent meeting of the Central Association of the German Poultry Industry (ZDG) took place in 1967. The ZDG is a member of the working group of German animal breeders .

- Laying hen division; represented by the Bundesverband Deutsches Ei eV
- Chicken Production Department; represented by the Federal Association of Farmers' Chicken Producers
- Department of Poultry Slaughterhouses; represented by the Federal Association of Poultry Slaughterhouses
- Turkey Production Department; represented by the Association of German Turkey Producers
- Department of Goose Production; represented by the Federal Association of Rural Goose Keeping eV
