The Center for British German cultural relations (Center for Anglo-German Cultural Relations / CAGCR) is since 2005 at Queen Mary College of London University existing research facility. It was founded by the current director, Professor Rüdiger Görner . The research facility was officially opened by the German Ambassador in London, Thomas Matussek . The guest of honor at the opening was Paul Oestreicher , Cathedral Chapter and Head of the International Reconciliation Center of Coventry Cathedral .

The CAGCR focuses on four research areas: literature ; Language and linguistics ; Intellectual history ; Culture transfer and theater . These branches of research are headed by members of the German Department of Queen Mary College at the University of London. The research center has its own master’s degree and accepts applications from doctoral candidates . In addition to a brief annual report, the CAGCR also publishes Angermion, published by Walter de Gruyter . Yearbook for British-German Cultural Relations .

The CAGCR is the patron of the London branch of the Society for the German Language (GfdS).
