Tzschach belonged from 1928 to 1934 as a goalkeeper to SV 08 Steinach , which is based in his Thuringian birthplace , for whom he played point games in the championships organized by the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs in the Gau Südthüringen . At the end of his second season he won the championship with his team and consequently took part in the final round of the Central German Championship. After SV Union Zella-Mehlis was defeated 4-1 in the 1st preliminary round and 1st VFC 03 Plauen 2-1 in the 2nd preliminary round , they lost 3-2 to SV Sturm Chemnitz in the quarter-finals . Two years later, the new championship succeeded, but in the final round of the Central German Championship overtook him and his team in the first preliminary round with the 2-3 defeat against FC Thuringia Weida . In the following season he won the championship again, but failed in the quarterfinals of the final at SC Wacker 1895 Leipzig with 1: 3.

From the 1933/34 season he played in the Gauliga Mitte , in one of 16, later increased to 23 Gauligen at the time of National Socialism as the uniform top division in the German Empire . With his team, he finished the season in second place behind FC Wacker Halle , the following season in third place . In total, he completed 30 of 36 Gauliga games.

The 1935/36 season he played for the SpVgg yellow-red Meiningen in the second-rate district class Thuringia ; then the team withdrew from the game. As a player in the military sports club, he was invited several times by Reich trainer Sepp Herberger to courses for the senior national team, but never played in an international match , as the competition with Hans Jakob , Fritz Buchloh and Willy Jürissen was too great.
