Center for German Law

The Center for German Law ( ZDR , lit. Vokietijos teisės centras , VTC ) is an institution of the Vilnius University for the legal education and training of Lithuanian lawyers. The rooms are located in Saulėtekis , in a university building complex on the north-eastern outskirts of Vilnius , about five kilometers from the city center.

The center is also intended for:

  • national and international legal scientific research,
  • Implementation of exchange activities for law students and academics,
  • Organization of individual meetings / seminars and conferences
  • Expansion of close cooperation with similar domestic and foreign institutions.

program

One of the tasks of the Center for German Law is the implementation of the basic and advanced training program on German and European law at the law faculty of the University of Vilnius "Lecture series on German and European law". Visiting professors are lawyers, scientists and research assistants from the Law Faculty of the Goethe University (Frankfurt am Main).

Another task is the implementation and organization of legal internships for Lithuanian lawyers in German institutions, authorities, law firms in Germany.
