The Center for Criminal Investigations of the Lithuanian Police ( Lithuanian Lietuvos policijos kriminalistinių tyrimų centras ) is a forensic institution of the Lithuanian police . The founder is the Lithuanian Police Commissioner General . The center was established in 2001 as an institution of the Lithuanian Criminal Police ( Lietuvos kriminalinės policijos biuras ).

The goals of the center are:

  • Carry out investigations (orders from the police and other investigating officers) and prepare expert reports for examining magistrates and courts according to court rulings;
  • To develop research institutions, professionals and experts and the organization of proficiency tests.
