Zeynem Arslan

Zeynem Arslan (* 1985 ) is a social scientist , group trainer , project and event manager and author .

biography

After her last long stays abroad in Palestine and Turkey , Arslan began her professional activity in Vienna in the Interface association, leading educational events for young women and mothers. Later she organized parent school information evenings in the integration department of the City of Vienna and was active in the Vienna district work. After Arslan resigned from her position as national expert in the EU Commission for Education and Culture, she continued her professional activity in the immigration office of the Vienna city administration. In the meantime, Arslan completed an additional qualification as a group trainer and became a founding member of the "Association for Research and Development of the Zaza Language" and co-editor of the magazine "raa ma".

She worked in the communications department of the General Management of the Vienna Hospital Association and has been involved in project coordination for diversity management in the HR department since summer 2019 .

From 2008 to 2011 Arslan was Secretary General of the Alevi Youth in Austria (AJÖ). There she worked in the co-project management to gain membership and represent the Alevi youth in the federal youth council Austria . Since 2018 Arslan has been a board member of the Austrian Society for the Promotion of Kurdology . Most recently she acted as co-president of the Alevi congregations in Austria.

Zeynem Arslan is active in non-governmental organizations and organizations on social and women's issues.

In the National Council election in Austria 2019 , Arslan ran as an independent candidate in third place for the electoral alliance "Alternative Lists - KPÖ Plus: Left: Independent" with the abbreviation of the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ). The KPÖ Plus, the KPÖ-Bund, the Alternative Lists in Innsbruck and the Federation of Democratic Workers' Associations in Austria (DIDF) are represented in the electoral alliance .
