The Zeynoddin minaret , English translation Manār-e Zayn-al-Din , is a Seljuk minaret from the 12th century in the Iranian city of Kashan . The minaret was named after the dignitary Zeynoddin. He built a tekke next to the minaret . Originally the minaret is said to have been 47 m high, but in 1931 it was dismantled by more than half of its height due to a decision by the governor and mayor of Kaschan. Strong earthquakes over the centuries brought the minaret to its present-day inclination.
