Hikaru Cho

Hikaru Chō ( Japanese チ ョ ー ヒ カ ル or 趙 燁 , Chō Hikaru , Chinese Zhao Ye ; born March 29, 1993 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Sino-Japanese artist and body painter .

Life

Chō was born and raised in Japan, but is a Chinese citizen. She studied design at the Musashino Art School until 2012 and is internationally known for her work. As a body painter, she paints naked bodies and, in her food art, also foods. It thus documents the transience, the vulnerability and the alienation.

2014 she has with their images on bodies Campaign My Body my Rights of Amnesty International illustrates.

In 2016, photos of her works were shown in an exhibition Identity in Transition at the Kunstverein Ludwigsburg in the MIK .
