Zhi-Vago was a German dreamhouse music project by the two music producers Claudio Mangione and Gottfried Engel. It existed from 1996 to 2002.

Band history

Claudio Mangione and Gottfried Engel were also the brains behind Bellini . They founded Zhi-Vago in 1996. The first publication was a dance version of the U2 song With or Without You . However, the management of U2 did not agree and the Maxi had to be taken off the market. The singer was Eliz Yavuz (or Alice Montana), who previously played the singer in the video Get-a-way of the dance project Maxx .

In 1996 the single Celebrate the Love was released , which reached the top ten of the single charts in France and Switzerland. Joan Wilson took over the vocals. This was followed by the single Dreamer , which entered the singles charts in Germany and France. In 1997 Teardrops from Heaven and 2000 On My Mind appeared , the latter with Cindy Gabriel on vocals.

In 2002 a remix of their only real hit, Celebrate the Love, was released . Then the group broke up.
