Peter Bösenberg (* 1970 in Kelkheim ) is a German photographer , screenwriter and director .

Life

From 1992–1993 he studied psychology at the Technical University of Darmstadt , 1994–1995 art history at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , 1996–1997 journalism in Berlin and 1997–2002 at the Art Academy for Media in Cologne . Peter Bösenberg directs films and writes scripts.

In 2002 he received the “Short Tiger Award” for directing sponsorship from the German Federal Film Board for the short film “Abendstimmung” at the Munich Film Festival. Since 2009 he has been working on photographic series. He lives in Cologne .

Peter Bösenberg's photographic works address contradicting situations in the urban environment. In doing so, Bösenberg deals with obvious events on the surface and is interested in what can develop from the hidden on closer observation. He tries to transfer the narrative principle of cinematic succession into photography.
