Zhong Xiang
Zhong Xiang ( 鐘 相 / 钟 相 , Zhōng Xiāng , Chung Hsiang ;?; † 1130 ) was a Chinese shaman, healer and rebel leader. In 1130, in the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty , he led a peasant revolt in the area of Dongting Hu洞庭湖 Lake in Hunan Province and founded a Chu state, of which he made himself king.
After the execution of Zhong Xiang, Yang Yao ( 杨 幺 , Yang Yao ;?; 1135) took control. The uprising was put down in 1135.
