Zhongguo dizhen lishi ziliao huibian

Zhongguo dizhen lishi ziliao huibian ( 中国 地震 历史 资料 汇编 , English Chinese earthquake historic information assembly ) is a collection of historical earthquake data in China published between 1983 and 1987 by Cai Meibiao and Xie Yushou . It has reports of 40,000 earthquakes, including 16,000 that caused losses. The first recorded observation is from 2300 BC. The lists include the time and location of the earthquake, magnitude, weather conditions, and other related phenomena, effects, and government actions.

The work is one of the foundations of a project of the State Key Lab of Resources and Environmental Information System (LREIS) of the Institute of Geosciences and Natural Resources of the Institute of Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences under the direction of Professor He Jianbang , which is concerned with building a Database on historically transmitted natural disasters.
