Zigmund Bluvband

Zigmund Bluvband , (* 1947 ) is an Israeli engineer ( quality management , security technology) and entrepreneur.

Bluvband studied radio technology and electronics at the Lemberg Polytechnic , where he also received his doctorate in operations research . He also obtained a mathematics diploma from Lviv State University . He was a safety engineer and manager in the Israeli aviation industry and was responsible for quality management at Tadiran .

Zigmund Bluvband developed safety technology for aircraft and in 1984 founded ALD (Advanced Logistics Developments Ltd.) in Tel Aviv , which is internationally oriented and deals with quality management and training (for example in the hardware and software industry and for aircraft), and was then its President and CEO.

In 2003 he was a co-founder of Silent Communication Ltd.

In 2012 he received the Elmer A. Sperry Award with Herbert Hecht (chief engineer and founder of SoHaR Inc.) . In 2006 he received the IEEE Reliability Society's Lifetime Achievement Award. He was twice chairman of the Israel Society for Quality (ISQ) and taught at the Hebrew University. He is a Six Sigma expert (Black Belt).
