Zindon

The Zindon is a former prison in the Uzbek city of Buxoro .

The prison is located in the historic center of Buxoro about 100 meters northeast of the Ark Citadel and about 300 meters north of the Kalon Mosque . It was built in the second half of the 18th century.

The complex is surrounded by a high wall that contains a domed gate. A prison museum has been set up in the Zindon.
