CV and career

The Birsfeldner took his first steps in rap in secondary school. As a freestyle rapper, he moved through schools and youth centers. The first live appearances followed, for example in the summer casino . After features with Basel hip-hop crews like Taktpakt or Freakaonid, he met Jean Luc Saint Tropez, also known as Maggi, in 2000, with whom he founded the band "Stuuberocker". In 2001 this took third place in the regional band contest "Sprungbrett". In 2002 the first and so far only publication by Stuuberocker appeared, the maxi "Ohni Scheiss". This was followed by features on the Brandhärd publications Survival of the Hartnäckigscht (Breitengrad, 2004) and Zeiche setze (7-Sieche, 2005). From then on, Citral attracted attention more as a solo artist. In 2005 the CD "Ai Daag in Basel" was released, which was brought to life by Citral and DJ Mars. On this record carrier, Citral is also represented several times as a rapper. Despite his career as a rapper, he continued to cause a sensation as a freestyler. In 2005, 2006 and 2007 he won the Battle of the Cantons in Switzerland. In 2007, Zital appeared as a guest rapper on the Brandhärd album Brandrenalin in the song "Zrugg uf e Karton". He is also featured on the two triple nine recordings samplers "giftig" (2007) and "dräggig" (2009).

In 2012 the legendary Stuuberocker reunited as part of a DAS EFX concert in Basel.

In autumn 2014, Citral's first solo album "Rapmusig" was released.
