Civil Inspector (Baden)

The office of civil commissioner was created by the state committee of the people's associations during the Baden Revolution in May 1849. The May Revolution had taken over the existing administrative structures and placed the civil commissioners in front of the officials of the district or higher offices who had mostly remained in office . The civil commissioners should oversee the enforcement of the Revolutionary Government's ordinances. You were also responsible for mobilizing the vigilante groups .
