Zlaté piesky (literally “Golden Sands”) is a lake and recreational area in the Slovak capital, Bratislava . It is located in the northeast of Bratislava in the Ružinov district .

The lake is 54 hectares and max. 11 meters deep, with a small island in the middle. On the north shore there is a 400 meter long and 30 meter wide beach with accommodation and sports facilities, a large campsite called Intercamp and several restaurants. The lake and its surroundings are the largest leisure and sports region in Bratislava. Various concerts or sporting events are often held in summer. Visitors can practice various sports here, such as swimming, rowing, volleyball, street ball, mini golf , tennis and others.

In 1976 an Il-18 of the ČSA crashed into the lake while taking off at the nearby Bratislava airport . 76 out of 79 people were killed .
