«Zlatne žice Slavonije» («Golden Strings of Slavonia») is a cultural and musical festival of folklore, tambourizzas and pop music. This festival takes place regularly in Požega , in eastern Croatia . The festival is characterized by songs, wines, culinary arts, concerts, exhibitions, sports competitions, folklore shows. The festival has been held annually since 1969, with the exception of the years 1981 to 1990. Around 40,000 visitors and 100 journalists are expected at the festival.
