Zofia Badura

Zofia Badura (born May 15, 1954 in Opole ) is a Polish poet .

Life

Badura attended high school in Opole and graduated from high school in 1972. She then studied Polish language and literature from 1972 to 1977 and art history from 1976 to 1980 at the University of Wroclaw . She made her debut as a poet in 1973 with the poems Palcem dotykam okładek … and To już tyle lat …, which were published in Nowy Wyraz magazine. She was a member of the Catholic society PAX from 1974 to 1981. She was employed in the editorial office of the Wroclaw newspaper Słowo Powszechne from 1977 to 1981. Since 1982 she has been working as a Polish teacher in a primary school. In 1986 she was admitted to the Union of Polish Writers .

Since 2007 she has lived in Dunfermline , Scotland . For the Scotland's International Poetry Festival 2021 she submitted her poem The Green Knight from Dunfermline Toun , in which she describes the acquaintance with her Scottish husband Thomas Neilson.
