The former customs office is a listed building built in 1471 in the former imperial city of Kempten (Allgäu) . It is located on Rathausplatz (formerly Marktplatz) and is number 3 .

The building was changed around 1600. The three-storey eaves side building has stone door and window frames and was renewed in 1978. Above the portal in the east there is a sandstone relief with an angel and two coats of arms. On the second floor there are wall paintings that date from around 1480 and were uncovered in 1962/1977. The paintings show dense tendrils with courtly representations and hunting scenes.

Today the city archive of the city of Kempten is located in the old customs office. Next door is the Neubronner house .
