Zoning is a studio album by the German music group Tangerine Dream . It contains the soundtrack for the 1986 film Zoning .

The soundtrack was only released on CD around ten years after the film premiere, presumably in connection with the video premiere at the time. The recordings on the CD do not exactly correspond to the pieces of music used in the film at the time, they were partly re-recorded and / or remixed by Edgar Froese and his son Jerome Froese , who was a member of Tangerine Dream from 1990 to 2006. However, the structure and style of the pieces of music clearly shows that this is a TD album from the 1980s, not one from the 1990s. It should also be noted on the album that Edgar Froese freely quotes himself. Clear borrowings from his album Beyond the Storm can be seen. One track, recorded on the album as Eyewitness News , was released on Beyond The Storm under the title Descent Like A Hawk .
In the progrock portal Baby Blue Pages , zoning for a studio album by Tangerine Dream from the 1980s received very positive reviews, although the “fabric softener sound” with borrowings from the New Age genre once again found few friends.
