Lenja Schultze (* 1986 in Hamburg ) is a German actress .

Life

Lenja Schultze completed her acting training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich from 2007 to 2011 . During her apprenticeship, she was a guest at the Münchner Kammerspiele in 2009 and 2010 .

From 2011 to 2015 she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Volkstheater Munich . She performed there in various roles in both classical and modern theater literature. Her Munich stage roles included u. a. Irina in Drei Schwestern (2012, directed by Thomas Dannemann ), Rosaura in Das Leben ein Traum (2012, directed by Christopher Rüping ) and Marianne in Tales from the Vienna Woods (2013, directed by Christian Stückl ). In the 2013/14 season she took on the role of Jordan Baker in a stage version of The Great Gatsby at the Munich Volkstheater, directed by Abdullah Karaca . In the 2014/15 season, Margret in Woyzeck followed, also under Karacas' direction .

Schultze has been working as a freelance actress since 2015. In the 2017/18 season, Schultze is engaged as a guest at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg . She plays there, alongside Paul Walther as Sebastian, the viola in What you want . In the 2017/18 season, Schultze will also continue to appear at the Volkstheater Munich in Woyzeck , in The Great Gatsby (November 2017, January 2018) and in The Handbook for Restarting the World (December 2017) by Lewis Dartnell (director: Jessica Glause ).

Schultze also worked in several short films as well as in various cinema and television productions. She had her first leading television role in the Lower Saxony Tatort: ​​Böser Boden (first broadcast: November 2017), where she played the "stubborn" village police officer Kerstin Starke, alongside Wotan Wilke Möhring and Franziska Weisz .

In addition to her work as an actress, Schultze also works as a photographer specializing in portrait photography . She lives in Göttingen .
