Jerome Froese

Jerome Froese (born November 24, 1970 in Berlin-Schöneberg ) is a German electronic musician and son of the electronic music pioneer Edgar Froese of the group Tangerine Dream .

Life

Jerome Froese was also a member of the Tangerine Dream group from 1990 to 2006, which was founded by his father Edgar Froese in 1967. Christmas 1987 Froese received his first instrument, a drum set. From here on he also practiced on keyboards and guitars until he joined Tangerine Dream. His first guest appearance with Tangerine Dream was on the album Lily on the Beach , where he played guitar on the piece Radio City . His first official participation in Tangerine Dream was on the 1990 album Melrose and he went on tour with the band that same year.

After Paul Haslinger left Tangerine Dream, the band worked live and in the studio as a duo (father Edgar Froese and son Jerome Froese) with various guest musicians.

In 2000 Jerome Froese began DJing , releasing a number of solo recordings under the pseudonym TDJ Rome. His first single under his own name came out in 2004 with the limited 1-track edition C8 H10 N4 O2 (the chemical molecular formula for caffeine ). In 2005, Froese released Radio Pluto , an EP that served as a forerunner to his later solo album Neptunes . In summer 2018 the album "Beginn" was released together with the former " Propaganda " singer Claudia Brücken .
