Elevated diaphragm

Elevated diaphragm refers to a bulging of the diaphragm into the chest . The resulting constriction of the lungs leads to a restrictive ventilation disorder , making breathing difficult .

Causes for this can be B. diaphragmatic palsy , abdominal obesity , diseases of the lungs, flatulence , liver enlargement , spleen enlargement or tumors in the abdomen .

The diagnosis is usually made using a chest x-ray .
