The Ammerschlucht nature reserve at Echelsbacher Brücke is located in the districts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Weilheim-Schongau in Upper Bavaria . It is part of the FFH area Ammer vom Alpenrand b. to the NSG "Vogelfreistätte Ammersee-Südufer" (8331-302).

The 32.4 hectare area with the number NSG-00077.01, which was placed under nature conservation in 1986 , extends through the Ammer Gorge along the Ammer between Schönberg in the north and Echelsbach in the south. In the northern part of the area, the B 23 runs west, in the south it runs east. To the west of Lettichenbichl it leads over the Echelsbacher bridge and crosses the valley of the Ammer.
