B in the Mix: The Remixes 2 is the second remix album by the American pop singer Britney Spears . The album contains ten tracks, mixed by various producers, from the last three studio albums Blackout , Circus and Femme Fatale as well as the greatest hits album The Singles Collection . It was released on October 7, 2011 in Germany and October 11 in the USA.

In 2005 Spears released her first remix album B in the Mix: The Remixes , which included remixes of her greatest hits from 1998 to 2005 with And Then We Kiss, as well as a new song. In August 2011, surprising rumors circulated that Jive Records was planning to release another remix album. On September 9, 2011, Spears personally confirmed via her Twitter account that a new remix album will actually be released on October 11, 2011 and published the track list for it. Due to the timely release parallel to the appearance of Criminal , the fourth single from the album Femme Fatale , as well as the lack of new, previously unreleased songs, the plans were received only cautiously or negatively by the fans.

Regardless of the criticism, the remix album enjoyed quite a few successes. After it was released on iTunes , B in the Mix: The Remixes Vol. 2 climbed into the top 20 of the iTunes charts in the USA, France, Italy, Spain and Finland, as well as the top 10 in Mexico. On October 20, 2011, the compilation immediately reached number 47 on the Billboard 200 , making it more successful than B In The Mix: The Remixes , which only debuted at number 134 in 2005.
