Ballon d'Or 2019
The 64th Ballon d'Or ( French for Golden Ball ) was awarded on December 2, 2019 by France Football magazine in Paris . A new prize was introduced at the award ceremony: the Yashin Trophy ( Trophée Yashin ) named after Lev Yashin for the world's best goalkeeper.
Voting mode
The 30 candidates for the world football election were announced on October 21, 2019.
The prize was awarded by a jury made up of 176 specialist journalists from as many countries. These could award six, four, three, two or one point / s to five players from the pre-selection list.
