The Burg Greifenberg tunnel mentioned at the top of the well, "Katzenbüggel" (Gryffenberg) is the ruins of a hilltop castle near Bäretswil in the Swiss canton of Zurich .

It was a striking, tripartite castle complex. Separated by two ridge ditches were three hills on which to keep , Palas and a farmyard were. Today only remains of the wall are visible.

Like the "Lords of Gryffenberg", the castle was first documented in 1223. The castle and the lower court rights over Bäretswil were first given to the Counts of Rapperswil by the Abbot of St. Gallen . From 1321 to 1507 the rights as Habsburg pledges were held by the Lords of Hinwil .
