The Röhrda Castle is a castle in the center of the Röhrda district within an estate (in front of the church gate 7) of the Ringgau community in the Werra-Meißner district in Hesse .

description

Nothing is known about the construction time and the builder of the castle complex, which shows a three-storey residential tower with vaulted cellars and a side length of 5 by 10 meters. Until 1549 the castle was owned by the von Falken family . Later those owned by Herda, von Siegel and von Meysenbug followed . In the 17th century, the Meysenbug built a two-story residential building with a half-timbered upper floor on the residential tower .
