Busswil bei Melchnau , (dialect Buesu ), is a municipality in the Oberaargau administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .

In addition to the residents' community, there is also a civic community under the name Busswil . The scattered settlement includes Busswil, Breitacher and various smaller hamlets.

Busswil near Melchnau is located in Oberaargau in the Swiss plateau . The neighboring communities starting from the north in a clockwise direction are Obersteckholz , Langenthal , Melchnau , Madiswil and Lotzwil .

For several years the number of inhabitants has been constant at around 200. The image of the rural rural community has changed due to construction activity. Today Busswil is a residential community for foreign commuters.
