Water supply
The water supply is the responsibility of the municipal association of water supply on the lower Oenz (WVOe). Like many other water suppliers, the WVOe has to contend with chlorothalonil metabolites . Water samples from 2019 showed that the applicable maximum values were exceeded in four of the WVOe's drinking water catchments. As a result of the heat and drought in 2019 , customers were asked in July of the same year to limit their water consumption .
traffic
Inkwil was on the Solothurn – Herzogenbuchsee railway line, which was opened in 1857, and had a railway station that was closed in 1992 with the entire railway line for passenger traffic. While the Inkwil – Herzogenbuchsee section was canceled, the Inkwil – Solothurn section has been in operation again as an upgraded Solothurn – Wanzwil line since December 2004 , but no longer has any stops. The community is served by the Solothurn and Surroundings Bus Company (BSU) on the Solothurn – Herzogenbuchsee bus line.
A network of side roads leads through Inkwil to all neighboring communities, the two closest motorway junctions are on the A1 at Wangen an der Aare (approx. 6 km) and Kriegstetten (approx. 8 km).
