The Cadre 45/2 World Championship in 1921 was the 14th World Championship, which was held until 1947 in Cadre 45/2 and from 1948 in Cadre 47/2. The tournament took place from 21. – 25. March 1921 in Paris , France.
history
After his second place in 1920, Arie Bos became a Dutch cadre world champion for the first time. With 182 Bos improved the amateur world record in the highest series (HS). The old record was set in 1914 by Charles Faroux with 169. The tournament started with six participants. The Belgian Pierre Sels broke off the tournament after two games played and the two games were not counted.
Tournament mode
The whole tournament was played in a round robin system up to 500 points. In the event of a tie in the MPs, the following order is taken:
- MP = match points
- GD = general average
- HS = maximum series
