Men's area

After two years in the men's division of Post SV Osnabrück, Thioune switched to Sportfreunde Oesede in 1994 , who were playing in the fifth-class Lower Saxony West League at the time . In the 2003/04 season he reached the semi-finals of the DFB Cup with the Lübeckers around the head coach Dieter Hecking , in which the team was eliminated after twice leading in extra time against the eventual double winner Werder Bremen .
