Eberhard Rösch (born April 9, 1954 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a former German biathlete .

In 1978 and 1980 he took third place in the overall ranking of the Biathlon World Cup . At the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid , he won the silver medal with the GDR relay and took third place over 20 kilometers. In 1978 he won the silver and bronze medals at the biathlon world championships over 10 and 20 kilometers and won the relay. He was able to repeat the season success in 1979 in Ruhpolding and 1981 in Lahti .

In 2005 it became known that Eberhard Rösch had worked for 17 years as an unofficial employee for the State Security of the GDR.

Today, Rösch is the organizer of biathlon events and was the base manager of the Altenberg Olympic base until 2012 . Since 2012 he has been the biathlon sports officer and technical director there. His son Michael is also a successful biathlete.
